Come Taste The Misery is a project created by musician and composer Christos Kariotis He is the guitarist for the bands: “A Different Ending…” and “My Creepy Susanne”. His new project ‘Mirrors’ is an amazing dedication to the craft.
The 5-track album really hits hard on all levels. The first track ‘Out of Control’ starts with chilling guitar riff that leaves you with a spine tingling feeling and the entire song shows the undeniable chemistry all the musicians had whilst creating this hit.
In ‘Save your Prayers’, the voice coming through dances around guitar riffs, drums and faint keys. Once the songs ‘Broken Wings’ hit the speaker the listener gets a solid sense of the journey this Come Taste The Misery has made to create such moving stories.
Before listening, a quick read of the band’s bio states that Christos who is the man behind the project Come Taste The Misery is no stranger to being at the centre of successful bands. The tracks have a definitive energy and charisma – ‘Mirrors’ seems to transcend its live sound in the studio. Not very many bands that can say that. Not seeing them live, though, many listeners might be at a disadvantage.
The whole ‘Mirrors’ project, is truly a spectacle of musicianship and wordsmiths that has been well worth the wait. We decide to conduct our brief interview with Come Taste The Misery..
