What inspired you to get into music?

KC: I grew up in a very musical family and it has always been an important part of it. Furthermore I have always been interested in people who are on stage, having a good time there. I wondered what moves them. With my music I want to give joy and energy to my audience, that’s my responsibility as a singer. It’s not my goal be the center of attention. It’s my responsibility that I know who I am and what my job as a singer is. Keep people with what you are and what you can do. Don’t be bored with what you are not. Be authentic and focus on art.

How would you describe your music?
KC: I feel at home in many directions of music: pop, soul, funk or house are my place where I feel very comfortable. Daily life inspires me, and I translate the experiences or feelings into words and sounds. All I hear all day are tones and ideas that arise from the confrontation with everyday life. An educational wallet or people arguing on the side of the road are part of my artistic work.

What would you say is your recording and song writing style?
KC: life writes my texts, I put 1 to 1 into music what I feel and I do it my way. I don’t adapt to the commercial. I’ve been making songs for as long as I think. My style is shaped to see the glow in people’s eyes when they listen to my music. I belong to them and I am honest. I am telling their stories or taking them into the realm of dreams. All that is what I focus on in my creations.

Where would you like to see your music career in 5 years time?
KC: I am always who I am. I don’t have to hide or be transformed. I want to let out what is in me, whether in 5 or 30 years. I’ve always done that. If I am as fit in 5 years as I am today, I will continue to enjoy music every day and live the dream of being allowed to do something that is the most wonderful thing, to give people something and to inspire them

Where can music fans listen your music?
KC: preferably at my concerts so that I can establish personal contact with them, they give back to me the energy and I have a direct feedback to my music. If it cannot be personal, there are many other options such as itunes, Youtube, instagram , facebook ….
